College Provision

We advise that PTPTs, their supervisors and EPDs regularly check this dedicated COVID-19 page for the most up to date guidance from HEE LaSE. An FAQ document regarding supporting PTPTs during the COVID-19 crisis is in development and will be regularly updated via this website.

The colleges have requested that if trainees are having any difficulties that they contact their course tutor initially for advice so that any concerns or difficulties can be addressed as promptly and smoothly as possible.

Westminster Kingsway College

All face to face lessons have been suspended until further notice. A blended approach will be adopted using pre-recorded lessons, self-directed learning and live lessons via Teams. All live lessons will be recorded in order for trainees to access these and other learning materials outside of usual college days.

We appreciate these are challenging times and we are committed to working with you and providers over the coming days and weeks to ensure trainees are supported to complete their training.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

We recognise that many trainees feel their mental health and wellbeing has been affected by the impact of the COVID-19 emergency. We encourage you to seek support from your tutor, regional training provider and local HEE pharmacy teams. The following resources, see attachment, are also available to support pharmacists and pre-registration trainees during this challenging time. Your GP will also be able to offer support and refer you to other services.
