Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacists (PRP)

The London and KSS pre-reg pharmacist teams have begun to work together to align the pre-reg regional programme. 2016/17 will be a transition year where there will be two separate programmes (one for KSS/HIOW and one for London trainees) but with some joint/shared pre-reg days (usually run separately but common to all) with one LaSE Moodle e-learning. There will be one regional LaSE pre-reg programme board from 2016-17 with representatives from all local offices across LaSE and HIOW.

Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians (PTPT)

All new PTPT’s across LaSE will begin their two year programme from September 2016 with new providers under contract. These two providers are Bradford and Westminster Kingsway College. All PTPT’s currently on programme this year moving to their second year in September will continue with their current education providers. 

Transitional arrangements are in place for London PTPTs that used London Pharmacy Education and Training NVQ assessment centre. Trainees were invited to an event which was run on 28th June to support any operational changes. We are working with all employers and the London commissioning team to ensure a smooth transition.
