Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacist Audit Presentation Day

The Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacist Audit Presentation Day for trainees in Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and Isle of Wight took place on 6th July at The Governor’s Hall, St Thomas Hospital in London. This was the last time that the cohort joined together as a group and exhibited a testament to their achievements of the year.

Eight of our 61 trainees were selected to orally present their audit projects; the remaining presented their audit projects in the form of a poster.

The hard task of selecting an oral presentation winner and a runner-up was given to a panel of three judges who stepped into the breach; Beth Allen, Head of Research, Royal Pharmaceutical Society; Rachel Stretch, Pre-registration Training Manager, Health Education England London and the South East; and Hasseena Winter, England Therapy Group Manager at The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry.

For the poster presentations judge, we welcomed the support of one of the new schools of pharmacy, University of Sussex, with Mike Pettit, Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice taking on the role which, with 53 posters to choose from, was no mean feat. It was great to see and hear work of such a high calibre at such an early stage and we hope that these projects are just the starting point for future achievements of the pharmacy workforce!

All of the oral presenters should be commended on the delivery of their audits. In particular our congratulations go to the following:
