Two programmes are currently being delivered across the geography; one for trainees in London and one for trainees in Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight (KSS/HIOW). Some joint days are taking place during 2016-17, for example there will be one regional audit awards event held at the end of the current programmes. One Moodle e-learning platform supports both programmes with sections devoted to London and KSS/HIOW trainees.

Plans are underway to develop one programme for the whole geography for 2017-18 supported by one Moodle e-learning platform. The newly formed HEE LaSE pre-registration programme board will be instrumental in shaping the new programme and stakeholders across the region will be consulted as part of the development process.
