Educational Supervisor Training Course

Educational Supervisors (ES) fulfil a pivotal role in the workplace supporting the training of pre-registration pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, foundation pharmacists and members of the pharmacy team on the Medicines Optimisation Programme.

Structure of the course

Educational Supervisor training is being delivered by The Pharmacy Training Company (PTC). The course is designed to allow flexible access to THREE or FIVE* key modules which are mapped to the GPhC Guidance for Tutors. Each module will involve watching a presentation, completing some reading and followed by one written assignment, allowing each participant to apply their knowledge in practice.

Flexible access allows participants to access modules at a time and pace convenient to them; each module to be completed over the course of 8 weeks. Individualised feedback will be provided on each assignment to support on-going learning and development. The PTC will offer optional two monthly webinars reviewing each of the completed modules.

A certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of the full programme.
