Programme Description

Your programme description is your opportunity to sell your programme to prospective applicants, this can only be 950 characters long and can include details of any placements which are less than 3 months in duration and provide links to further information.
You can download the spreadsheet below which is the full data set from Oriel in 2019. Please look at column J and see what other employers have written previously to help you.

Number of Places

The number of places you have submitted should accurately reflect how many pre-reg places you are recruiting to. For the majority of community pharmacy branches this will be 1 pre-reg. You may have a slightly larger organisation and have 2 pre-reg's for 12 months however we will need to confirm this with you. Getting the number of places wrong can result in students being offered a place which does not exist.

Tier 2 is below the salary threshold

Employers who offer Tier 2 sponsorship must pay a minimum salary which is set annually by the Home Office. The exact salary you will pay for the year you are recruiting to has not yet been set, however for the purposes of advertising your programme, the salary must be set above £21,000. Further information is available from the UK Visa and Immigration website below.
If you receive an email asking for this to be amended and do not reply, we will remove your option for offering tier 2 sponsorship.

Salary is too low compared to the hours worked

The National Recruitment Scheme requires employers to pay a minimum salary according to the hours worked, please review the table below to ensure you meet this. If your submitted salary is too low against the hours you have stipulated, you will receive an email asking for this to be amended. If you fail to respond to the email for correction, you will be removed from the scheme.
