We welcome Sarah Purdy to the KSS team, Sarah will provide programme support to the Pre-Registration Pharmacist Programme and be the Course Lead for the Practice Supervisor Accreditation.

We congratulate Laura McEwen-Smith who will become the Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship Project Lead from the 1st February 2016. More information on this project is detailed below. This is a fixed post for 18 months and Laura will continue as the Trainees Requiring Additional Support (TRAS) Lead.

Health Education England Chair, Sir Keith Pearson, recently announced the winners of his inaugural awards for research and innovation, and we’re very pleased to report that our KSS pharmacy team, led by Katie Reygate won the research award for their research into the competence of doctors in prescribing at the start of the UK Foundation Training Programme. We would like to thank the members of the Prescribing Assessment Group and those who have facilitated and supported the prescribing assessment within trusts, for enabling this work to take place. 

The KSS pharmacy team also won the local KSS award for team of the year and were presented with the awards at our recent HEE KSS staff conference held on 2nd March.
