London and South East Pharmacy Programme for 2017
To support the development of best practice, we deliver a comprehensive training programme to meet the needs of NHS staff involved in the management of medicines in London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. There has been lots of changes over the last six months with regards to the programmes we are delivering and how they are delivered. Please read more about each one below.
Pre-registration Education Programme Director/Leads Network Events
We organise and facilitate network events for both our Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technician EPDs/ Education Leads across LaSE. Dates for the next events are as follows and you should register to attend by completing our on-line form. We also facilitate Foundation Pharmacist EPD Meetings within KSS which do not require formal registration due to a much smaller network.

Educational Supervisor Training
Educational Supervisor training is being delivered by The Pharmacy Training Company as a series of webinars and on-line learning. The webinars are scheduled for the 18th and 19th October and the application deadline is 11th October. January dates will be announced soon. Further information and a link to the on-line application form is available on the ES Flyer below. Please note priority for training will be given to NHS and Community employers who will be recruiting via the Oriel system, this training is for any pharmacist new to tutoring or has not done any formal training previously.

Final Accuracy Checking of Dispensed Items
Final Accuracy Checking of Dispensed Items (ACPT) is now delivered by CPPE. Please access their website for more information and the application process.
Medicines Optimisation Programme
The Medicines Optimisation programme comprises of 2 courses, Patients Own Drugs (POD) Assessment and Transcribing for supply and Medicines Reconciliation and Transcribing for Supply. Please click here for more information about both courses. Please note this programme replaces all previous medicines management accreditations.
Fundamentals of Aseptics

Other training providers
The Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) is funded by Health Education England (HEE) to provide CPD opportunities for pharmacy professionals providing NHS services in England. CPPE offer a range of learning opportunities to help your development at all stages of your career and in all sectors of practice.

In collaboration with HEE, CPPE have developed the Consultation skills for pharmacy practice six-step learning development pathway, to support you to work towards the Consultation skills for pharmacy practice standards and deliver a patient-centred approach.
